A Taste of Tara

A Traditional Irish Baking & Tasting Experience

Warm bread, a warm welcome — in the shadow of the Hill of Tara.

Set in the heart of the Boyne Valley, just minutes from the legendary Hill of Tara — ancient seat of the High Kings of Ireland — Lismullin Cookery School invites you to roll up their sleeves and discover the timeless craft of Irish home baking.

In our welcoming kitchen, visitors watch — and, for the brave, join in — as we make Ireland’s best-loved bakes from scratch: rich Guinness brown bread, traditional Irish soda bread, and melt-in-the-mouth white and brown scones. Everything is enjoyed straight from the oven, with a proper pot of tea and our own home-made preserves.

Each guest leaves with printed recipes to recreate the magic at home — and the memory of a truly Irish welcome.
